This was one of the most frustrating games I've seen us play. We did not play as a team, we did not control the midfield efficiently, we did not create many chances only half-chances which didn't look like going in the goal.
Jerzy Dudek
What is it with our goalkeepers? Every time there's an important game they fall asleep and let a goal in. Chris Kirkland did it against Everton and Dudek did it today again just like he did two years ago. I couldn't believe what I saw, my grandmother could had stopped that shot with her eyes closed. We need a stable keeper asap, otherwise we will see more of today's incident.
Luis Garcia
Not very effective today, he's poor when he plays as a winger and he did absolutely nothing. I would had played Nunez instead of Garcia, he would had done better on the flank as he's an actual winger. Very frustrating player.
Steven Gerrard stayed a bit quiet today and so did Hamann. Too many times we failed to make a pass, our midfield did not provide good enough balls to our forwards, it was just a poor performance by almost all of our players.
Despite the improvement Traore has made, he is simply not good enough. He loses the ball and he can not pass very well either. I for one thought he would play much better than he did today.
Morientes needs more time, he hasn't played more than 15 minutes this season at all so we should all give him time. He looked dangerous in the air but since we did not have Nunez, we did not put in many or good enough crosses at times.
Baros played well. He picked up a knock on the head but still kept going winning us corner kicks, free kicks,etc... He makes a difference on the pitch but today was simply not the day that his effort would be awarded.
Jamie Carragher, Hyypia and Pellegrino played well but at times gave too much space to Man Utd.
A huge disapointment, now we can only hope that Everton and Boro have a draw as if Boro win we will drop to sixth place and if Everton win then we will be trailing 9 points behind them.
