we played overall better as an EPL 5th finisher, but far from decent as a CL champion. But at least we're now not a jeckyl and hide anymore so far, but half jeckyl and half hide -which is good isn't it? :D

are you having a laugh?  ???

it's the second week in september and we're already TEN POINTS behind chelsea.

Do we hae 2 games in hand though ?

yes true but we must change the way we play, spurs had what look like a good goal not given, it still a bit like last year we are not a force away from home, home tyeans see us comming with the 4-5-1 and think ok lets get at them

oh heelo me doom gloom mate Lakes  :D

I think it's been a good start to the season.. Reina is already saving us points.. and we will improve no doubt bout that ..

It was a good performance but the way in which the "international" players flagged so early worries me. It's not as if they ran their legs off mid-week and Gerrard looked out of sorts from early on.
As much as I like him, Garcia is giving me real cause for concern with the number of balls given away or under hit, turning them into suicide balls for other players. He has to get back to basics and just play the simple ball.
A couple of times Reina looked as if his bottle had gone and he chickened out where a good goalkeeper would have got stuck in and got hold of the ball.
Judging by Raffa's antics on the touchline he wasn't too happy either but it is still no goals against and it is obvious that it is coming together we've just got to get the winning habit back.

saw the game live and to be honest we didn't played too badly. most of the boys are just back from international duties and we r playing away to one of the tougher team in the league and all in all i thought we acquit ourself quite well. i look on it as a point earned and we must remember that we have another away game to betis on Tues? followed by a home game to the scums.

last season we were losing on our away games and if we tighten that and start to win our home games, i believe we certainly will close the gap on the scums and the gooners.

Our season so far has been good, we haven't even been beaten yet and there's pr*ck's complaining already! We cannot expect to win every match, Spurs is one of the hardest game's in our season and we got a good draw with a clean sheet to boot - WTF are you all whining about?

Absolutely BLOODY RIGHT!!

With some people mentioning ehhm that we are already 10 points behond Chelsea!! But DOH, we've played 2 games LESS than them!! Which means we could only be 4 points behind them once we've played an equal amount of games!!

2 away draws against some TOUGH teams.

1 home win.

ZERO goals conceded

I think we've made a GOOD start to the season.

yes we will get better, all i was saying before the game was that it would be 0-0 due to how good spurs are looking and with us playing 4-5-1 we would find it very hard to beat them

Considering how much Tottenham dumped on their squad, I am absolutely delighted. A draw is better then a loss and to be honest, I was under the impression we would lose today. Still no goals against which suits me fine, we just need to step up in the attack a little bit.

Match Notes from rafa's harsh critic........  :p

1)Good game - we look very good defensively. If we can get a better CB than hyppia our defence will be awesome (hyppia still has problem when strikers run at him).

2)Risse almost had the goal of the season (rooney eat your heart out)  :p ...why can't the ball bounce a few inches behind.......

3)Crouch looks like a gentle giant....too soft. Maybe he has to hang out with duncun ferguson for something (who incidently scored a own goal for blue sh1ts).

4)Cisse looked somewhat out of form....but he suffered a minor injury in international games...so give him time (pls).

5)Garcia is starting to pi$$ me off.......I mean, he giving the ball away put our defence under tremendous pressure.... And it wasn't once or twice....... Everytime he gave the ball away, spurs counter-attacked. Come-on Garcia

6)I like the mean streak in finnan ........He has perfected the art of pulling jerseys without getting caught....

7)If we can get a quality RW and if kewell gets back to form we will be a force in the league.

8)In the meanwhile, we look better equip to win the champions league again than the premier league.... (with our water tight defence and compact midfield)....ah well screw the premier league, lets just win the champions league again.
