Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

hopefully its just a lack of communication between DIC and the board.

maybe it could turn out like the steven gerrard contract saga.

i believe the takeover from DIC is not all lost and gone....

It appears that the Liverpool board and the majority shareholder David Moores were unable to approve these terms in order to allow DIC to make a formal offer to all shareholders.

why does it say  that  ???? that we were unable to approve those terms...... it's not that we rejected those terms ..... we were merely taking time to make our decision .......

THIS IS OUR CLUB!!!!

:censored: the yank, just cus he complited due dilligence in a few days how does that make him any better, how the :censored:.
The bloke could drop dead next month (theres a thought) and then what. It seams its just a case of highest offer wins irrespective of anything else. Then when he`s bord of it ( it seams this type of thing is the blokes hobby) or dead same again, what we may wont doesnt matter to these people.

:censored:

It was all set to go through until that Gillet bloke made another bid, then they put things on hold. It doesn't surprise me if they cancelled it because Moores had a look at the other offer and put the DIC offer on hold.

Would be pissed off myself if evrything was set and then put on hold because some other bloke has come in with a late offer :(

for me this has gone on to long. This should have been done in the summer to enable rafa to spend on players. And now he's not even had the money to spend in the jan window.

This needs to be sorted out now or i fear it will never happen.

is this moores just holding out for an extra 8m or does he have a better feeling about the yank?? please let the fans know what's happening.

Apparently he doesnt want a groundshare now but who says once/if he buys he wont turn around and say a groundshare is more viable.

i dont trust that yank......this buyout process has been going on too long, DIC seemed to be the best option, good track record, and a business nmore than a rich mans plaything, I hope Parry and the rest of em know what there doing coz at the moment it looks like the have prostituted the club to the highest bidder for the sake of a few more quid....

Is that called Gazumping. Surley it shouldnt be allowed when such large sums of money are involved.

What a :censored: anti climax. So let see apart from the Stadium what is Gilette going to offer? Is he richer than the Galzers?

Gillett is also in a stronger bargaining position now that he has seen off Dubai.

As we have no other offers on the table and we desperately need funding for the stadium he could infact lower his bid knowing that its a take or leave situation for Liverpool.

I honestly beleive that the board will find fault with any bid because they just cannot let go. To get something you have to give something back and they want it all one way.

Moores and Parry just do not have the guts to see it though to the end. Perhaps they do not have a confidence to sign a deal of this magnitude for fear that their investors have a stronger business understanding and they will get turned over long term.

I wonder what the players (Stevie in particular) and Rafa think about this all. For Rafa im sure the only thing he is concerned with is if he will still be fully able to compete with the big teams financially.

Could it have been all the talks of them wanting to sell us after 6 years?

This is just what we need to burst out bubble right now. We were on a nice run in the league and things were looking pretty with DIC. They even spoke to Stevie and Rafa FFS !!!!!!!!!
