They must be so gutted they never got him. The way I see it is we got him at the right time. In today's market we could never even think about being able to afford a player of his calibre. 20Mil was a steal.

What's he talking about maybe getting an offer in next season for? 
Anyway it doesn't matter because by then we will have new owners and a much stronger squad. He will be penning a new contract come this time next year.

Ha Ha CFC.net, I've still got a login there after that famous Champions League Final thread in 2005! Was absolutely hilarious and their boards were plagued with gloating LFC fans for months after the offal posted up the link!! Those were the days!
