I'm going to take this as a compliment. We do work hard, we slog and scrap for every ball if we need to. Things are changing and with the signings of players like Torres and Babel we'll get prettier, but for now it perfectly demonstrates our work ethic. He can call us unnattractive all he wants, but nothing is prettier than a big, fat, silver trophy in our cab, and if we have to be seen as the dogs of european football, then I say we shall be the dogs of war!

We will be there or there abouts again this year, i think, so Schuster is right to fear us. Bring on the posers of madrid and milan, and let's rough them up a bit. And if we have to play unnatractive football to beat them, then let's get ugly.

Well the context of those words are that Schuster was chilling down the hype created from his last 0-5 against Villareal.

Schuster comes from being early criticised (that's Madrid for you) because Real Madrid was not impressive in the preseason. Now Schuster covers his back saying some rivals play in a more automatised way, as they've played more together. He considers Milan to be 10 out of 10 when he says which one is the stronger, and right next to that, about Liverpool, he says maybe their game is not as appealing as Milan's, but we're an ugly (as in very tough) team to face.

Can't see anything harsh against Liverpool in the Spanish quotes to be honest, on the opposite he was saying that when he was asked for the most important rivals in Europe at the moment.

Sounds to me he's just trying to gain favour of the Real fans, who are all for Hollywood style football above all else, even though it tends to get them beat when it counts in big competitions like the CL. He just fears us and that's all there is to it. The day he hears our name being drawn against Real will be the day he hears the sound of his balls hit the floor.
