best i could find about it.

A pensioner knocked down in an accident with a car driven by Liverpool FC footballer Steve Finnan has died, it was confirmed today.

The 81-year-old man was crossing West Derby Road in Liverpool when he was struck by Finnan’s Range Rover on January 27.

He was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital with head and leg injuries, where he died on Thursday.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside police said: “We can confirm that an 81-year-old man involved in a road traffic accident on January 27 has died.”

Finnan, a 28-year-old Irish international, stopped at the scene of the accident and spoke to police. He is not suspected of any offence.

Finna was probably on his mobile or something!

Bad driving to say the least.

You think he would spot an old man in the road!

81 year olds arent like little 5 year olds, wher they just run into the road.

naughty boy.

Premiership footballers get paid too much, and have too much time to party!

he was probably on his way back from a party

Shame on you boy

ooooooooooo look everyone, mr. perfect has posted, maybe he never ever makes mistakes. yes some people do drive like idiots, and some people do walk in the road and sometimes it is impossible to avoid them. in this case finnan was absolved of any blame, i am certain that if there was any eveidenec of careless or reckless driving then he would have no doubt been summonsed
