Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Former Liverpool defender Song  has suffered a massive stroke and is now according to reports fighting for his life  . I loved this fella for the passion he showed for this club, and  his no holds barred tackling.

Hope he pulls through,YNWA

My god that's awful news, he can't be that old, he must only be in his forties or something.
Hope the lad pulls through.

Just turned 40 fella, lots of messages of support from his old teammates in the Echo, even Paddy Berger tipped up, reports say he is currently in a coma.

Dreadful news. Hope the lads recovers 100%. However, it makes you wonder what goes into the bodies of modern footballers to cause such a thing at such a young age.

These are horrible conditions, all the best.
I remember Song but vaguely.

Patrick Berger however was my fav player in his days. All the best to him aswel.

Reports say he is out of his coma, so it's just about the recovery now  ....Thank God

"He has come out of his coma and the oxygen has been disconnected," Dr Louis Joss Bitang A Mafok, director of the hospital's emergency center confirmed.

"His high blood pressure has returned to normal and the cerebral hemorrhage has been controlled."
