This player is the real deal. I know there are other threads around talking about the wingers we are looking at but this player is a fantastic world class talent that would truly help our team come alive. If there's one thing Benitez's team lacks it is this sort of talent. Quaresma is better than Ronaldo & I for one would love to see his name on a Liverpool shirt. If you dont believe me check out this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0__Q-sse770

I could even make a Mellor comp that would make him look good. Doesnt mean he is.

I have only seen him play a few times so am not sure if he will fit the bill but you cant base your argument on a youtube video.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Nope , this is boy is the real deal
The boy is pacey , skillfull and have a bloddy sweet right foot and a decent left foot , i'm quite sure you guyz noe itz as well
He has the ability to change the game ,create chances out of nothing , score goals out of nothing , the way he crosses the ball from the outside of his right foot is superb . He is something that this team needs . I'm sure rafa thought of that when we made a 14million pound bid on him. *rejected

Yeah thats the problem with some of you on here Bav etc don't see talent when its staring them in the face...

Come on Queresmo is a world class Winger..
Is worth 20m alone without a doubt. Now we have money to burn he is the player we should be buying!!  By the sounds of things we have a great chance of getting him. So i hope Rafa does the decent thing and goes all out to get this lad.

Look at Ronaldo......

From people in Portugal Quraesmo is even better....

Cant let this one fall through the net...

Certainly looks like a VERY skillful player with quick feet, change of direction and balance reminiscent of Ronaldo. I still think we need a left-winger more than anything but he looks like he can do a job on either flank. He certainly hits a wicked cross from the left flank with the outside of his right boot. Only two things concern me - 1. Didn't he flop at Barca and 2. Is he strong enough to take the kicking he would undoubtadely receive in the EPL?

He's defo a player i would pay to see though.

I don't think we can read too much into quaresma flopping at barca scott as riquelme flopped there too and he is undoubtedly a great player.

This is already being discussed in a thread in the rumour mill, I believe. Anyway, would very much like to see him grace the red shirt next season. Here's hoping that they don't do a Benfica on us and keep upping the price.

I see wher eyou're coming from mate but Ronaldo is a bit of unit these days. Very strong on the ball plus he has clearly worked hard on this aspect. saying that, Queresma has got the frame to add a bit of bulk.

It still puts a bit of a question mark on him for me. He went to a big club with big expectations where the pressure is high and it didn't work out. having watched several clips of the lad i can't figur eout why he wouldn't be a star in La Liga. Maybe he didn't/doesn't deal too well with the pressure?

I still think he looks like a cracking player though.

mayb sabre knows abit on why queresma did not make it at barcelona. From what i've heard he had an impressive debut for barca and then the manager starts to play him out of possition on the left(riijkard) that lead to a row between him and the manager , and a bad injury did not help him as well. So after one season he went back to porto with deco going the other way.

We'd better leave well alone then coz that's where he'd end up playing half the time!

At Barça i think he announced his refusal to play for Barça as long as Frank Rijkaard was in charge but i think he didn't played too well there...and he also had a bad injure.
Quaresma is a very good player, but you're getting more excited than you should because he maybe not be all that you expect...but I hope that i get wrong.

In this respect you could say he's a bit ike Simao, he never made it at Barca and they have similar qualities.

I don't think the issue of strength or build is really an issue for Quaresma, he appears to be as strong and built as Ronaldo is. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why he has improved so much at Porto.

I 'd also say that at manure Ronaldo was given the time to demonstrate his ability. At Barca with Quaresma, this was not necessarily the case, pressure from the top has a much greater influence in whether a player stays or goes.In England the structure is different, and the pressure is different.
