We played really well, bit slow to start but we bossed the midfield passed it about quickly and confidently created chances that may be we should have scored, however we lacked pace up front with morientes and hieght with baros our chances came from crosses and mainly crosses in the second half but unfortunatly gerrard couldnt finish them (no fault to him tho). I think the system we started off with 1 up front with zenden and garcia as winger would work well with crouch but for some reason we kept getting stuck when we played it with morientes.
Im pleased with the performance however cisse is not a right winger and to be honest his finishing ability can not be relyed upon We definatly need a right winger Garcia can not play every game plus he is not a winger either.

I think: Get Owen partener him with crouch then you have two great options through ball to owen (pace) and crosses to couch (hieght) either headering it to owen, or directly on goal, Not to mention crouch heading down long balls. In my opinion we need more options. And Owen gives us that, he is quicker and more reliable than baros, and has better finishing ability than cisse.

But we were unlucky 2day Gerrard man of the match.

Sissoko easily man of the match. Yes Gerrard had chances to score but Sissoko really impressed.
