Lads, it is no conincedence that Old Trafford is the venue of the UEFA Cup Final this week, as it was for the final of the CL a few years back and international matches. It is a first class, world standard stadium.

If we build a 60,000 seater (lets not even consider a single seat less...) then we will forever live in its shadow and will not get the big games and international exposure - as Speke lives in the shadow of Machester airport.

Old Trafford is a stadium of bolt-on extensions whereas we have the chance to build a 70-75,000 brand new, futuristic design which would be one of, if not the best in the country and would attract and deserve the big european finals, internationals and be a World Cup venue.

If we compromise now becuase we couldnt wait 6 months to get the yanks out, we will regret it forever.

Put the new stadium on hold until we sort out the ownership.

No he´s right, its the Cit-eeeh ground. Oooops !!

For me it is imperative that we get Hicks out before any new stadium is built. I wouldn't bet against his plan being to build the cheapest stadium possible just so that he can rape the club of all it's value by selling it off and leaving us lumbered with massive debts.

The fact is DIC are going to have to bank roll transfers if they come in for a min of 3yrs anyway whilst this current stadium is built - so I see no problem delaying it another year if they are willing to bank roll us for that year.
