I want to agree with you Ben but lets also be realistic, it leaves the door open for a new manager to come in with his team at the drop of a hat. Like at Chrimbo.

If a new manager does come in at Xmas that means the team isn't getting the results required and the manager will be replaced

I have a feeling BR is on his final strike - produce the results this season or even the first 4 months or you're out

Why should the owners speak out ?

As I said because:

We finished sixth last season. Rodgers promised us a top 4 finish?
We are selling our best players and replacing them with dross or kids!
We are keeping Rodgers as our manager.
All valid reasons on why they need to speak out.

Our performance on the field is not an "in house" issue. It's the be all and end all of our existance as a club.
As the article points out they have acknowledged this over the pond with their boring bat sport but have failed to so with us.

No, fans who pay their hard earned dollars to watch and support their team expect some sort of communication when there is a crisis.  :upside:

You haven't given one valid reason for them to speak out

Except for you wanting to hear reasons - it doesn't matter , they will speak when needed and that's fine by me.

They can continue in the background instead of being in the media

It's such a shame in this media driven world people's hankering for people to say something.

There is nothing for them to say to you or anyone

They are all valid reasons, you failing to acknowledge any of them is YOUR simplistic opinion, nothing else.

And another generic argument of blaming the media for our woes, just underlines your very strange thought process in all of this.

As for you sad statement saying they have nothing to say to me, or any other supporters wanting answers, I haven't heard a more arrogant statement on this forum yet.

You seem to float from one whooper to another.

Sorry but when did I blame the media for any of our woes as you put it ?

Just because you want answers doesn't mean they have to come out and answer your questions

It seems looking at recent events tonight they are just allowing the people at the club to get on with their jobs.

For decades we never heard from owners - I'm happy it's gone back to that way. Let the manager etc do the speaking

So Rodgers is going to come out and answer why he still has his job then?

Makes perfect sense.

The owners 'spoke' when the fired the coaches. Clearly they didn't consider sufficient blame lay at BR's door to replace him.

He has his job still because the owners have decided he is still the manager

The owners have spoken today in the form of signing a highly talented quality player to boost the squad.

Yep first positive steps they (and the club) have taken in a LONG while.

Hopefully we can bring in another 2 or 3 quality key signings over the window and we will be in a much better position come the start of the season.

Isn't it great to see happiness on the forum - so much better than doom and gloom

Hopefully more signings to come to improve the whole moral of the club
