What a game , kuyt , masch , argh feck it the whole team was fantastic . Its criminal how much vidic gets away with and  today showed he's a good defender not world class in the mould of maldini or sami hypia in his prime , mentioned how overrated he was. He has always has had trouble with players with pace or that little bit of trickery , remember how bellamy tormented him 2 seasons ago and they nicked the win

Great result. Torres was too much for them and Gerrard for once didn't go missing either. Hopefully this result might rattle them and they could drop a few more points in the coming games. Arsenal and Villa still yet to play them so it's very much still alive imo.

And I think our goal difference is above Chelseas also now isnt it?

Anyone know if Torres was just being taken of to be rested or did he crock himself?

I wanted him to prove me wrong he did that for the moment and I am very happy for me rafa just got him self the key to the city he now has proven he is the man for the job and for that I will back him for ever !!! 

I do have to add tho he has to be 100% more agressive to the smaller teams bcos if he don't we will fall on our faces.

There was a Manc in front of me in the boozer smashing pint glasses and kicking the furniture because he couldnt handle his team being annihilated by sheer class, the spoilt little bas.tard!!! I would have loved to have smacked him one.

I just hope All the other prem clubs have the same attitude against the Mancs as we did. They can be beaten and they are over rated and very jammy!!!!!!!!

Not on goal difference, +28 to their +32 and they have a game in hand.

Chelsea did their damage in the early part of the season.

But, if we can score goals for fun like this week, we stand a good chance for 2nd.

What an excellent result. To be 1 behind and get one back more or less straight away showed excellent character. I also think that referee played a big part. Not in "gifting" liverpool the result but more in showing courage to make the decisions against United that he did. Yes it was a penalty but how many times have they not been given? and yes, it was a red and how many times have they not been given? It looked at times at the start of the second half that the ref had been gotten at at half time but it all came good in the end. Now we must build on this and keep it going, we must go for the win in every league game from now until the end of the season.

It is days like today and last tuesday that do make you think about what we actually have in Rafa, with our limited finances and the internal political war and power struggle, to achieve what we have in the 5 years he has been here.

The team is really gelling. It's taking time, but what other manager of any club could arrange his team to go out and beat R Madid 4-0 & then the Mancs 4-1 in their own back yard.

And don't forget, Fergie has publicly stated that this is the best Squad he has assembled in his 25 year reign at the club! We've just done the double over them, and we may knock them out of the champions league also.
