Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

after watching this game, i realise manure have players such as ronaldo and berba who are really good but in big matches, they bottle it, show a lack of interest and are made to look ordinary. arsenal, the problem with them is that they dont have defensive discipline. even when they are up 2-1 and with a few minutes to go they chose to make reckless attacking forrays which result in them losing the ball. this is why i believe we can do it this season. us or chelsea. our team have alot of discipline and our players are TEAM players who work hard for the cause together. we dont have any show ponies either. so, i really believe we can do it this season with our current team.

Liverpool 2008/09

1. Suffered their first defeat in 18 Premier League games with last Sunday's 2-1 loss to Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

2. Not lost back-to-back in 33 Premier League outings, since succumbing to Reading (a) and Manchester United (h) on 8 and 16 December 2007 respectively.

3. The highest placed of the three clubs still holding unbeaten home records in the Premier League.

4. Undefeated in 16 home Premier League matches, and the only club still to lose a home top-flight game in 2008.

5. Won 13 of the last 16 league outings at Anfield (four of five this season); dropped just six points out of 48 since losing 0-1 to Manchester United on 16 December 2007.

6. Failed to score in one of 16 home league games; the exception being the goalless draw with Stoke on 20 September.

7. Unbeaten in 17 Premier League matches against Midlands' clubs; won nine and drawn eight since losing 2-0, away to Birmingham on 12 February 2005 - their only defeat in 20 such matches against clubs from the heart of the nation.

8. Drawn the last four against Midlands' opposition, including goalless draws away to Aston Villa and home to Stoke this season.

I got a good feeling about today. We are yet to hammer anyone and this could be just the ticket.

It also depends on the bounce of the ball.  We attacked last weekend and ended up with more woodwork than a porn star.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Figured Xabi would get a rest soon, nice to see stevie in midfield I think that's a big boost to our attack.

That's an ok team that. I would like to see Torres back on the field, but hopefully it won't be necessary, by which I mean that the others should be able to win by themselves, so he won't be expected to come on to win it for us. It would be better if we could get a good lead without him, and then Rafa could decide, if it would be worth it to bring on Torres, or if he was better served with a bit more rest.

Anyone got a stream btw?
