personally i think its game over, as far as 4th place goes, but we are 90mins away from the Champions League final....i still can harly believe it!!! :oh:

I say rest Gerrard, Carra, Garcia, Baros and hypia.

I would play Hamman and kewell against Boro but we should rest our players......

No we have to play our best 11.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

whilst we still have a mathmatical chance of getting 4th in the league then we must go for it, so in my opinion we should play the strongest available team. Getting a victory over middlesbrough would help to build up momentum for the Chelsea game anyway.

Personally I would rest a few.

                 Dudek

Finnan  Pellegrino  Carragher  Troare

Cisse(Nunez)Alonso Gerrard Kewell(Warncock)

              Garcia
                       Morientes

Subs

Baros
Riise
Hamann(Biscan)
Hyypia
Carson

I think we have to consider that there is only 2 days rest before the Middlesbrough game and then only 2 days rest again before the Chelsea game.

I don't mind Pellegrino playing in a flat back 4, and Hyypia does suffer when he has to play to many games in a short period. Alonso is suspended anyway so he should play. Riise is fading away, and he is important against Chelsea, he is one of the few sources of penetration we have.

Don't you think it is time Cisse gets a start? I mean he is a natural athlete, so fitness isn’t such a huge problem, if his leg is not fully healed then he should not be involved, well that is a decision for Rafa to make. If Kewell is fit enough to give us an hour or so then he should play because he wont start against Chelsea.

Really the only players that should be left out are Hyypia, Riise and Hamann (probably wouldn’t be ready for Saturday any way).

I would start Kewell and Alonso and Cisse against Boro.....but have a feeling that Gerrard might be rested...just a hunch  ???

I think Benitez will rest Hyypia, Baros and possibly Gerrard.

Alonso will definately play since he is unavailable against the sh!te. Warnock might start and Nunez should play a fair bit.

Gerrard needs a kick up the ******.. It looks to me like he needs al the games he can get!!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Yeah propbarly, If Gerrard is rested then it will be Alonso and Biscan in the centre, I'd be happy with that.

Drop Gerrard (partly to rest him for next week and partly cos he's lost form) Thats it, play our strongest team apart from Gerard.

Firstly you cant punish a player by benching him, morale is most important. Form comes and goes quickly, but morale takes ages to rise once its at its lowest.
Secondly, there is still a slim chance that we can get 4th, and the way Everton are playing recently, they are slipping up more frequently.
Thirdly, we always rested our best players for matches in the league, and when the BS do slip, we never capitalise on it because the quality on the pitch is not good enough.
Fourthly, there is always pride as someone said before, and if there is anymore reason to get 4th spot, this link serves to spur us more, in particular the second paragraph...................

Start cisse, kewell, hamann and alonso

Rest gerrard (no alonso 2nd leg), hyypia (no cover if he gets injured) and baros (only fully fit striker)

my preferable line up;

                      Dudek

Finnan       Carra        Pelle        Traore

Garcia       Gerrard     Alonso        Riise

            Baros            Morientes

Subs;

Carson
Nunez
Hyypia
Smicer
Cisse

achieving the 4th place is still important as ever.i doubt Rafa will rest key players.there's 3 matches left,we shouldn't give up & believe in Rafa & the LFC players.

YNWA.
