He is too easy to catch and dispossess. Riise and Sissoko wasted the ball too often in good positions and Hyypia had a few bad balls. The rest of the lads did as expected. I can't remember the last time LFC looked better. This is definately the best team in more than 15 years, (In my opinon at least)

Banana how the f@ck can you have a moan about Sissoko? I really want to know?
His first game for Liverpool in a friendly, and you critise him, he was class, he slotted in perfectly will be a steal in 2-3 years he will maybe be worth around 20-25 million. I give up.
Chelsea didnt try to steal him for nothing at the last minute.

Man relax. I only thought A few players didn't distribute the ball as well as they should that's all. Is that so difficult to understand? All in all most players had a good game, but some of the passing errors should not have been made. I have high hopes for Sissoko, and I think he will be a valuable squad member. But when he passes the ball to the wrong player I notice that's all.

Sorry mate but your wrong, he only signed 2 days ago and come on second half, in a team he has never played with, I thought he was excellent and I have very good hopes for the young chap.

Gerrard trued copying Alonso to much.  Cisse done well, Baros clever finish. Sissoko I'm going to enjoy watching him get sent iff through the season :D , he's tasty in the tackle

I thought Luis was dreadful when he come on, know its only a friendly but he and baros looked poor. ok baros scored but he wasc still same old baros, getting the ball and running into people...i also noticed he didnt take a throw in cause your not allowed to throw it to yourself! Of all the players i liked medjani cool on the ball and solid down the right, think he could be a heck of a player, when you see his composer on the ball compared to traore, you wondered who had been playing top flight football for the last 3 to 4 years. The usual performers were there as well, cisse looks sharp, carra was solid as ever and alonso was just awesome again, i hatec to build the guy up but im going to do it anyway, WE HAVE THE BEST PASSER OF A FOOTBALL IN THE WORLD, no sh!t no one has a patch on him, his left foot must be up there with the best of them as well, we do have a player who is going to become a legend of the game because he will go down as the best passer of a ball ever, and he doesnt just play balls side wayshe plays killer 50 yard balls to put people through on goal, Alonso and Gerrard...is there a better 2 midfielders playing together in the world......im ready for an argument if anyone disagrees   :D  :D

Alonso bossed the midfield in the first half.

It was a good work out for the players, I still wished we have a new ans quick centre defender.

Cisse scored 2 well taken goals, the first one was especially impressive sa he was running at an ever narrowing angle to the goal and just blasted it in from an angle.

Nando had no impact whatsoever in that game. Cisse had a good game.  Did we defend well or leverkusen was to weak to attack? Anyway, we're the better team last night.

Alonso's contribution has always been a standard issue: Pure Class.

Apart from his control in midfield, I thought Le Tallec played very well too. If anyone notice, he seem very sure where Cisse is most of the time. How he pick up Cisse at the right time with an instant pass... wonderful. Just that he gets too nervous when it is his chance to score.

I still reserve my comments on Sissoko. Watched him played and didn't really impress since my judgement when he was in Valencia. But I like his attitude though, the guy will work hard for the team. I'll just see hoe rafa improves him.

Overall the team did well enough for a friendly. Leverkusen was poor though.

Sissoko was quite good. you can see why they compare him to viera, runs just like him etc!

he didnt do that much, sweeped the ball from side to side and put in some good tackles. having said that, he is in a new country with a new team etc, so hopefully will come very good.

Stevie G, and Alonso were virtually the same player, but in different halfs! with these long cross pitch sweeping passes to feet , inch perfect. they almost pass it as good a me!

do not think much of le tallec one bit, but Zak whitbread i pretty good at the back. he's even dyed his hair to look like hypia.

Im always impressed with garcia though, his clever quick feet is a joy to watch.

i await the Figo arrival..........................

Were quite luck to have to midfielders like Gerrard and Alonso who can really pass the ball. Some of those long range passes from Gerrard/Alonso are sometimes just as good Rivaldo used to be able to do.

for me xabi alonso BOSSED that 1st half..
as did stevie in the second.

baros great finish but still too much of the headless chicken act.

morientes was rusty.... again. however some neat flicks and touches.

le tallec i dont like... why? coz he couldnt finish a cup of tea.
however spotted cisse with 2 great passes.

garcia  CL aside. pointless fancy footwork then lose possession im afraid.

potter. useful if not settin any fires

didi usual job done

cisse watch this space!

finnan  see didi

riise faded badly but started well. anyone notice against TNS when he pooped up on the RIGHT a couple of times?

sissoko for a debut quite good

warnock  shame!! a talent itchin to get a run of games

whitbread did ok i think

traore not convinced

carragher  never been away really.

hyypia  you can tell he's peaked. great fella tho

dudek nowt much to do really...comfy id say

zenden  in and out. flashes.

medjani  looked out of his depth sadly

dont know if ive missed any.
no one had a bad game. and three or four had STONKERS!
but for me the opposition were surprisingly poor for a C.L contemporary side.

overall we were solid and passed the ball about well, from these early games there is definate promise.
