Baros is a very frustrating player to watch, he looks class from his appearence and what he does for the Czechs but I cannot see him being a Liverpool player this season.

Not sure that was Baros's fault if I'm thinking of the same incident - the defender came back from behind his shoulder and got a toe on it. But most of the time Baros was on the pitch he made me angry - normally I give anyone who plays for LFC more credit then maybe they deserve, but he's let me down. I said earlier today in the Owen thread that I expected Baros to become a real star last season, but he wasn't even close. He's not awful - but not good enough for a side that is trying to make a title challenge. Offload and get someone different in - maybe even Crouch (never thought I'd say that!!)

I've got one problem .WHAT ABOUT REINA?we av just bought him for 7 mill and don't play him

becos...i havent' seen reina play a few games. i need to see him play a few games to rate him. (i already mentioned that the line-up is my opinion/choice).

the few games i have seen reina play (in spain)...he was average (in 1 game he was shocking....i think it was against barcelona)...so my opinion on him is not that good at the moment.... Dudek for me is known quality. He just needs confidence and then he will be good (remember his 1st season with us). i base my judgement on players after i have seen them play (i don't judge players based on newspaper reports or their so-called reputation).

But like what i said before...in rafa i trust. i would be happy if reina proves me wrong and becomes the best in england.

Yeah I think he probably should have been my number 8 - he's OK when he hasn't got time to think, like heading away crosses and stuff, but when he tries to work out what he's going to do next..................

nah we still got zenden for the left wing so risse with traore as back up should be enough. zenden can also play left back if desperate. i hope risse plays there all season as this allows the potential for more goals from the team

if traore just makes the right decisions...he would be an awesome defender.....he has all the physical attributes...but he does not seem to think properly when in the pitch.

I thought he was gonna score another classic own goal until he made an outstanding recoverey and cleared the ball for corner....... When will he learn ?

He has just signed a four year contract aswell ??? , Rafa must see something in him, maybe centre half, that is his prefered position anyway.
Le Tallec and Cisse partnered up well, what was that little dance all about :D

He suffered a problem with his elbow and we need to wait for the x-ray results before knowing the full extent of the damage. Hopefully it's nothing too serious."

thats promising, usually its " we hope for a quick recovery " right away from rafa when someone gets badly injured :p

Alonso was a joy to watch
Garcia played some buetiful through balls tonight.
Gerrard trued copying Alonso to much.  Cisse done well, Baros clever finish. Sissoko I'm going to enjoy watching him get sent iff through the season :D , he's tasty in the tackle

After the game Benitez commented on the performance and Stephen Warnock:

Rafael Benitez was quietly satisfied after seeing his side secure an impressive 3-0 friendly win over Bayer Leverkusen in Lustenau, Austria, on Saturday night.
Benitez gave 21 of his players a run-out against the Bundesliga outfit as the Reds ran-out comfortable winners thanks to goals from Djibril Cisse (2) and Milan Baros.

"It was a good game for us," said the boss afterwards. "We used a different team in each half and I am pleased with the performance. My idea was to see all the players and I now have to analyse the squad before selecting who will fly back to face TNS on Tuesday. That is most important for us now."

The only black spot on a pleasing night was the first half injury to Stephen Warnock and Benitez added: "He suffered a problem with his elbow and we need to wait for the x-ray results before knowing the full extent of the damage. Hopefully it's nothing too serious."

As rafa said I hope it's not serious, I really do rate him.

Good win. That will give the lads a fair bit of confidence and improve morale. Alonso had a fantastic first half. He is surely the finest midfielder in europe right now. Gerrard, Garcia and Carra played well too. Josemi had one of his best games in a red shirt, or maybe the opposition just was too weak to threathen us. I must say I was disappointed with Morientes. He is too easy to catch and dispossess. Riise and Sissoko wasted the ball too often in good positions and Hyypia had a few bad balls. The rest of the lads did as expected. I can't remember the last time LFC looked better. This is definately the best team in more than 15 years, (In my opinon at least)

Banana how the f@ck can you have a moan about Sissoko? I really want to know?
His first game for Liverpool in a friendly, and you critise him, he was class, he slotted in perfectly will be a steal in 2-3 years he will maybe be worth around 20-25 million. I give up.
Chelsea didnt try to steal him for nothing at the last minute.
