He trains at Kirkby these days with the kids. Which is where he'll stay until his contract runs out.... :Oo:

What does anyone expect him to do ? It’s not his choice the manager decided to dispense with him, the club gave him a long expensive contract , do people expect him to just walk away from that ? It’s the fault of people like Ayre - Markovic just should have stayed and developed his game at Benfica. I can’t recall the lad slaying anyone in the club or having a go at anyone, just the wrong player bought

He knew he wasn't making it a few years ago and just gave up since. He has also had a few loan spells and no one was looking to make it permanent but no doubt he will sign for someone abroad on a free.

Its a shame really as the lad was highly rated but unfortunately we never got it out of him. He will just be remembered as an expensive flop.

Will go down as one of the greatest LFC flops and mysteries, wrapped in one.

He always seemed to hide from the ball, whenever he played in his first season.  And never seemed to look confident.  I guess he was just nowhere near as good as we thought.

Farewell Lazar...you weren't very good and I doubt many will remember you.

Lazar, is one of our last reminders (still at the club) to how far we have come under FSG.

We were an absolute mess before Klopp was appointed.

From the ineptitude of Rodgers to the chaos of the "transfer" committee to the reluctance of wanting to spend too much on any certain player. Those days are long gone and hopefully will never return.

Seeing the back of this overpriced flop, will hopefully draw a close one of the worst recruiting policies we had in our recent history.

1 February

00:22 - Lazar Markovic [Liverpool - Fulham] Free

He was even late to meet the deadline. Looks like a salenig a loan but what an enormous waste of money.

Him and Ryan Babel are going to rip the Premier League apart now.

I hope the lad goes there and does well. As I have said many times I won't ever criticise the club for signing a young highly rated prospect like Lazar (which he was at the time). Buying players is not an exact science and anyone who thinks it is doesn't know sh1t about this game.

He was very talented and had a big name.. the year before he joined he won best young player in Europe. I like many were excited by the signing. I would never blame the club for taking the risk.. the person who let himself down was Lazar. We gave him a platform to show everyone what he's got, and he bottled his opportunity.

Normally I wish players that leave the club good luck but in this lads case I’ll make an exception. Going to Fulham who are destined for the Championship just about sums the lad up. He was banished to train with the under 23’s after he basically went out of his way to run down his contract mercenary style. The lad is only about 24 and he has basically wasted the last 4.5 years. I can’t blame any modern day top flight footballer for chasing the money but this lad just takes it too far and has demonstrated time and time again that he lacks the ambition that is required to succeed at this level.

ENJOY THE CHAMPIONSHIP BECAUSE I DOUBT THAT ANY HALF DECENT CLUB WILL WANT YOU !!
