Good servant, and I wish him the very best of luck in every match he plays, save for those against us.

Have a good 'un, Ginge.

Thanks for all the fantastic goals and memories

Above all else, he loves Liverpool football club. We need more players on our club who say " I love Liverpool " instead of " I have a contract with Liverpool " He will be missed, but it really is time to move on, all that rubbish about his financial problems and debt must have really taken a toll on him, all the best.
" Some people say football is a matter of life and death, I don't like this attitude, I can assure them, its much more serious then that "

OFFICIAL - Riise Completes TRansfer to AS Roma
« on: Today at 07:21:40 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://bo.asroma.it/UserFiles/837.pdf

In short the below statement states that Riise was bought for a mere €5 million which will be paid in 4 equal payments to be effected on 1 July 2008, 30 Sep 2008, 31 July 2009 and 31 Jan 2010.

There are also few payments that will be paid according to Roma's Performances during Riise's Contract.

(i) € 0,1 milioni, for the first 2 seasons if Roma qualifies for the CL
(ii) € 0,075 milioni, for every 25 appearances during official matches up to a max of € 0,3 milion

PLayer have signed a contract of € 2,8 milion for every season.

That is the translation!!  Usual Stupid terms agreed by COCO!!!!

RAGGIUNTO L’ACCORDO PER L’ACQUISIZIONE A TITOLO DEFINITIVO
DEL DIRITTO ALLE PRESTAZIONI SPORTIVE DEL CALCIATORE
JOHN ARNE RIISE

Ripped from Rawk

seems Riise has gone for just under £4million, why did we agreed to 4 installments though?

Staged payments could be fine, it depends on the interest rate being charged which are not stated in the article.

Shows how fooked Italian clubs are financially if they cant even shell out 5m euros without needing credit. ???

Just wanted to say i'm a tad gutted we're loosing him,

however he was poor last season, and if we want to smash the granny out of the mancs we need top draw week in week out, (no time for sentiment)

lad couldn't defend to save his life, but as we know boy could he spank it,

he'll do well at Roma, who in turn will do well in the CL next season

Good luck Risse, he has given so much to the club but unfortunately he will be remembered for his poor last season.  I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him play for Roma next yr.
