The back pass rule didnt change the LIVERPOOL style -how would it? The only thing that it  affected was time wasting ,and sure the rule was the same for every team. So how would it affect us so badly? I just laugh when i hear people say the old Liverpool team was boring defence minded ,they have a short memory or have been listening to old bitter mancs.
Bryan Robson,   served his club and country very well,but i think he was over-rated. Injury prone ,especially towards the end of his career, if he hit the deck at all he was stretchered off. To play in his position you needed to be a good tackler, and Robson was not. Im not knocking him, just my opinion, he was a leader ,had no fear and was everywhere on the pitch,scored plenty too. The italians came over to watch him and ended up wanting Souness instead. Yes Souness had a nasty streak..but at least he was sober

You probobly would have won more european trophies of you didn't get banned agreed. The standard of opposition and the teams who won it in subsequent years were quite poor. PSV,Steua and Porto thats your fault you got evreyone banned from Europe.
