Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Mikz » Mon Feb 06, 2006 11:45 am

The back pass rule didnt change the LIVERPOOL style -how would it? The only thing that it  affected was time wasting ,and sure the rule was the same for every team. So how would it affect us so badly? I just laugh when i hear people say the old Liverpool team was boring defence minded ,they have a short memory or have been listening to old bitter mancs.
Bryan Robson, :lookaround  served his club and country very well, but i think he was over-rated. Injury prone ,especially towards the end of his career, if he hit the deck at all he was stretchered off. To play in his position you needed to be a good tackler, and Robson was not. Im not knocking him, just my opinion, he was a leader ,had no fear and was everywhere on the pitch, scored plenty too. The italians came over to watch him and ended up wanting Souness instead. Yes Souness had a nasty streak..but at least he was sober :;):

Here whoever that Peter Griffin wannabe is, do you have something  to say or are do you just like getting a boring :censored: remark in there. If u aint got nothing to say keep out of it

It wasn't just the backpass fair enough that did you in but after the 80s mainly after you lost the toughness and grit which had been associated with you remember Wimbeldon kicking you in a cup final

For someone as tough as Souness his teams are always pussies. When United beat Liverpool one year Fergie was suprised to see Liverpool players laughing and chatting over drinks he then proceeds to tell United players 'Thats what your up against a group of well paid sh-ts who don't care whatever the result. Remember that next time they beat you.

Man U are the biggest bunch of sh*t demons on Planet Earth.

The back-pass rule affected everybody - as Mikz said.

And you, sir, are an imbecile at work.  :nod

BTW - my login is a joke.

I take it you want to be a directionless line of ink then?

Sad act.  :no

Actually i am on a United Forums a few of them and i am well known on them actually Griffin.
I support them and just started posting here when bored.

Fair enough you said your bit

You probobly would have won more european trophies of you didn't get banned agreed. The standard of opposition and the teams who won it in subsequent years were quite poor. PSV,Steua and Porto thats your fault you got evreyone banned from Europe.

The backpass rule affected evreyone. You aint won the league since it was outlawed (Rather strange) You weren't boring but it ruined your possesion game and the time wasting.

U could say the standard of teams in the CL aint that good either ;) So crashing out of it prior to christmas would be a catastrophe.

(Sorry for the 8s redmikey m8y, h8 to admit it, but it`s a habbit)
