How much will this great cup win be worth - In money terms what does it mean for lfc

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

While i know money is a dirty word, rightly or wrongly it now drives the modern game.

In that regard this win and also more to the point the way Liverpool won the Champion's League going to be worth to the club

Not just from the revenue by UEFA for winning the competition but also terms of investment interest, sponsership deals and thousands of kids across the globe wanting Liverpool merchandise because they have inspired   to become a Red supporter

It really can be first step to a new dynasty both on and off the field. A dynasty built by  on field success not by easy money

It's incredible for Liverpool FC.

We can attract the best players, and also sell many of the current roster at very good prices, since they come with a Champions League winning medal so Rafa can build the team HE wants rather than making the best of what he had (and he certainly did that).

It gives the club a strong financial foundation to move to the new stadium.

In terms of sponsorship, it will attract the big deals and names. We need to really dump Carlsberg as a sponsor and make a deal with a telecommunications company since that's where the big money is now, not beer companies. It would be nice if we could get a deal with Adidas as the kit supplier. Other deals for associations and sponsorships would be expected.

The ratings for the final were colossal, it was seen all over the world, especially important was the Asian and American audiences which gives us access to those markets. Many more people will flock to Liverpool after our victory last night. We should take advantage of that with tours and merchandise aimed at those markets. We already have massive worldwide support anyway, far greater than Arsenal and Chelsea.

While Rafa builds his side and squad, we just have to keep winning SOMETHING every year while we plan to win the FA Premiership and qualify for the Champions League pretty much every season. A slow build is needed. Takes things slowly and watch the finances carefully.

That's the right way to do things.

Agreed, it won't have harmed our chances of signing better players, or keeping Gerrard, and of financially strengthening the Club.

I can't wait to find out Rafa's plans for next season!!!
