in terms of attacking midfielder Essien or Ballack

Ballacks more affordable. Essien is already a Chelsea target. And Ballacks a fighting player like Gerrard, not to mention he can also whak em in, he has a sweetleft foot as sweet as SG s right. Remember the one he scored againsts us when he was at Leverkussen.

That was a class goal

Seriously Ballack is a perfect replacement for Gerrard if he leaves, only thing is that hes not as consistent...

And we dont need any more AMs... we have enough of those! Let's build our defence...

Actually Ballack is a lot more consistent then Gerrard, 03/04 was Gerrards first real consistent season as others he was still developing or always getting niggling injuries.

And BAVLONDON, Ballack is both footed, in the true sense of the meaning, but I think he takes free-kicks and penalities with his RIGHT foot, so that must be his 'Natural' playing foot.

True that Ballack is less injury prone... but i remember Ballack did nto play too well in the last world cup 2002... especially when he was no where to be seen at the final game against Brazil...

hmm i dunno i just dont rate ballack as highly as gerrard even though ballack is top class he wouldnt replace gerrard completely imo and then theres the fact ballack is 28, i would take ballack any day but only if he wasnt too expensive

mc yan, ballack was one of the players of the tournament at the last world cup.he scored five goals in finalsl including the winner in the semi final just after he got his yellow card that would have banned from the final.

I don't think Ballack will come to Liverpool because he's going to Spain . I would prefer Owen Hargreaves, Bastian Schweinsteiger or Sebastian Deisler.

you are a madman if you would take one of those three over Ballack!  I rate them all, but Hargreaves is overrated because he's english.

He didn't play too badly IMO, Germany made the final ffs, and he played a key role.

Oh , and of course he was no where to be seen in the final he was suspended from the final you dolt!

Ballack is 6'6, runs all day, can head a ball when in the box, has a great shot on him and passing game and above all is a fantastic leader, the heart and soul of German football.

To get Ballack would be very expensive, but in my opinion he is the best all round midfielder in Europe if not the world at the present time, based on his performances over the last three years. The man is immense.

Oh, he's my favourite player too...hehe
