Emille heskey - Available in january

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby 112-1077774096 » Fri Oct 17, 2008 2:22 pm

I am just watching a programme out here called first edition, its based on the UK press and includes Richard keys. He was just showing a few press reports about heskey and a desire to return to Liverpool, and also mentioned a comment from rafa about needing a target man and saying he would be interested in heskey.

I think he is playing very well at the moment and of course we can have a good look at him tomorrow.

So heskey, yes or no? I would like to see him back, what about you guys

Would be a good edition to the team he is a handful for anybody on his day would be a great foil for Torres and Robbie
Keane sitting just behind them.

Obviously better than some of our bit part players, but its a no from me. He falls down too much , has no heart for a battle, and there are better players out there who we could get . For me he is another player who plays within a comfort zone rather than fighting for every ball and for the team.

Since when did we become a team that wants players because they are a cheap option, rather than because they are good ? No doubts in my mind he is better than Voronin (for example) but huge doubts that he would be worth the salary he would demand. Another striker who can't score is just what we DON'T need.

would be available on a free next summer, and could tie the contract up in jan.

he would obviously be 3rd choice behind torres and keane, but a good third option to have, who would be able to provide something different
