He is cr#p.....During a game we r lucky if we see him passing the ball to another liverpool player at least ONCE...OK he might score some good goals sometimes but they are always against poor times.
If owen decides to stay then definetely....he has to go!

He is quality and I'm glad he is having a great Euro 2004.Perhaps it was a problem with Heskey and Owen, not being able to adjust to playing with Baros, that reflected bad on Milan.I,for one, feel our strike force of Heskey and Owen was so predictable every defence could play them blind-folded if need be.It's no coincidence Sven has dropped Heskey.

I personally made some reservations about Baros a few months ago but I am the first to admit that his performances so far in Euro 2004 have been top quality. His leading of the line and the mayhem he causes is magnificent, and he is one of the players of the tournament so far.

On form when the players come back after the Championships Cisse and Baros should be first choice. Owen has had it his own way for too long, and while he has been brilliant for us, his last 24 months have been disapointing.

So where is the class shining through now,and when was the last time we saw class shining.

Michael Owen has had a torrid time for the past 2 years, and I don't think he will ever return to the player he was.If he thought he was putting himself in the shop window this summer before commiting to a new contract, then the plan has back-fired so far.

The prospect of Owen leaving scared the ****** out of me 12 months ago but since his return from injury he has been very disapointing. His pace has gone and the guy's technique is probably no better than the likes of Paul Dickov, and miles away from the likes of Moirentes.

Baros has proved in the European Championship that he has matured as a player and at this stage he looks better than Owen.

There's a lot of fuss about Wayne Rooney at the moment but remember 6 years ago people were talking about Owen in the same breath.

It kills me for saying this and I have supported Owen through thick and thin, but his performances for Liverpool last season were simply not good enough.

Stop placing loyalty to players. Foremost loyalty is only for lfc.
Owen's form has been atrocious as I had noticed since last season. He is no where near where he was. In the coming season, if he stays, he gotta reflect on his form, psyche himself up to improve. Past achievements does not equal current form. Even the old horse Shearer can better Owen in form and class anytime. A player off his form will only make work hard for the rest of the players in the team. Its like playing with 10men.
I'll rate Baros the most on-form player of lfc now. Ever since he came to lfc, I have always been excited over his play. I've seen Baros as a player who can only improve, and he has done that. Having him on the field will be much better for next season. Beni will definitely groom him.
While Owen gets his form back, lets hope that it is not long. He gotta understand that a striker just has to SCORE GOALS.

Michael Owen has had a torrid time for the past 2 years, and I don't think he will ever return to the player he was.If he thought he was putting himself in the shop window this summer before commiting to a new contract, then the plan has back-fired so far.

He scored 19 goals last season in a side that was playing poorly with no creative midfielders in the side. He also missed three months of the season through injuries which is bound to have an effect on form and confidence.

He scored 28 the season before last for the second time in his career.

He's had two really poor seasons by his own standards and has managed 47 goals in 92 games (5 games as a sub) and you people aren't willing to cut the guy some slack?

Some people just don't have a clue.

Any striker who averages 1 goal every 2 games has a superb strike record. Owen has a superb record and has been nowhere near his best for two years. If you lot can't see that i suggest you get your eyes tested.

I wouldn't mind if this was the first time he'd been wrote off and had it said that he wasn't the player he once was. But it isn't... its the 4th or 5th.... EVERYTIME without fail he's proved his idiotic critics wrong. Then next time he finds form all you fickle know nothings will be saying how you backed him all along. Then he'll go through another bad patch and you'll say you knew he'd lost it after last time and get more people on your bandwagon.

I agree he's been really poor in this tournement so far, but the fact is he's been poor BY HIS STANDARDS, he's got two direct assists... and if you have the common sense to look at all of Englands goals against croatia you see he's involved in every single one in a very positive manner.

You would also have noticed, had you been watching... the space he is creating for Rooney. He's pushing opposition defences back to the edge of there own box which is allowing Rooney to drop off and play his game, the reason Owen isn't able to come deep is Rooney isn't playing on the defenders shoulders when Owen wants to come deep, which allows the defence to push up the field and puts pressure on Englands side. Owen is making the right runs, the same as always but the service isn't good enough.

Some people are just so fickle and stupid, i really don't see how you lot can't learn from your mistakes.

Everyone else see something wrong in Owen that you can't see.
I salute your patience with Owen. I bet the rest of us hopes that he will make improvements in his game. Wat do you expect from a player like him now?
Many of us only want him to score goals. Its that simple! Not fickle! Are you stupid not to understand.
If Rooney was the one holding the defence back, Owen dropping deep to collect more passes, on current form, I doubt Owen will score.

Owen really needs to perk himself up before its too late. At 24, he still needs to be on top form for quite a while.

So players aren't allowed a dip in form?

GET REAL!!!

Raul's another in the same boat. He's had a poor season and a really poor tournement. It doesn't mean he's not a world class player all of a sudden. Players always go through seasons and patches in there career where they struggle for form, Rooney will do exactly the same, then the media and idiots will knock him down exactly the same way they did with Owen and Gerrard and he'll come back a better player just as both of these have done in the past.

Some people ???

Cast your mind back to the last World Cup. Mikey didn't score in the group stages but went on to score against Denmark & Brazil despite being well short of fitness.

Liverpool supporters should know better than to lay into Owen. How many times have we had to listen to the media screaming 'he's past it' 'his legs have gone' 'he hasn't scored for 6 games' and then the guy scores a hatrick the next week.

the best was the season before last when we were listening to how ****** he was everyweek and how he'd lost it...

then he scored a hatrick against Man City away, we won 3-0 and everyone took back what they were saying. :D

He's gonna do it again at some stage and you fools that are slagging him off are to stupid to see it.

He's got better every game this tournement (which wasn't hard after the france game) but in the last match the only thing he didn't do was score.

Next season for Liverpool he's due a good season, anyone doubting him needs there head testing. End of.

i also remember during the treble season when he had been going through a fairly lean spell and then scored 12 goals in his last 8 games of the season. once he scores one, he'll be off, you watch! :)
