baros has 14 goals in 61 games for liverpool but this doesn't tell the whole story as many of his appearances have been as a sub. he also has 8 goals in 18 games for his country.

the only guy who doesn't seem to rate him is our clueless idiot of a manager.

Baros has the talent but it's difficult to express it when you're not getting regular starts, then when he does get on he's so keen to stake a claim that he sometimes overdoes things. I realise him and Mikey haven't fitted as well as we hoped but it takes games together to get that understanding . Why Foolier hasn't played him more often is beyond me. Did he only buy him as cover ?

he nicked him from under the noses of teams like barcelona and juventus. everyone was after this kid. what houllier actually saw in him is rather pointless at the moment because it's not being utilised. with cisse's iminent arrival, he's gonna get even fewer chances unless owen leaves of course, which i hope isn't true.

Our play has been so stagnant this year that we are crying out for a player like Baros to take a gamble and run at defenders. They are scared shitless when he turns. I don't buy this 'Baros and Owen can't play together bollox' How many times have they actually played together this season? Houllier bemoaned the fact he was missing his first choice STRIKERS when Owen and Baros were out. Now the lad is back, he can't get a look in. this kid needs to play regularly.

I have to agree, anyone who thinks Baros is not a talent knows nothing about football.

i remember last season when we played west brom away and won 6-0. owen got 4 and baros 2. he should have had 6 that day. the two of them tore the west brom defence to shreds. the partnership has potential as long as it is given a decent run.

I agree. Houllier called him 1st choice the whole time he was injured and once he is back, he doesn't play him. More Houllier spin doctoring.

i think most fans have worn themselves out by moaning about houllier all season. he's gonna be here next year so we might as well live with it.

I think the lad is talented, he has inproved his game to, he's the only play who is direct, he gets the ball and knows one direction...... FOrWARD, he used to be a little selfish and just put his head down but as the season has gone on he has learnt put the ball into good positions for MO cos at the end of the day GH wants MO as the main striker and wants Baro/Heskey to play off him.

If only GH would play him more I think we'd see Baros score a lot of goals for LFC!!

The thing with Baros is that a he does a lot of good work as an individual, but fails to link with his strike partner and the midfielders.

This is a problem that can be remedied on the training pitch, but it is strange that no one at the club has picked it up.

I do rate Baros, but unfortunately, nest season I don't think we'll se much of him especially if we sign Alan Smith or Cisse.

I have to agree, the lad is a good raw talent but with the new signings, we'll see less and less of him. With the right coaching, Milan could be excellent.

i dont know what it is but i get the feeling that even if we had the likes of Henry or Ronaldo they would still struggle to do well at Liverpool, i dont know if its cos Owen is difficult to play alongside or if its a lack of creativity in the midfield. (Look at Litmanen, Anelka, Fowler). But in my opinion Baros is a very good player now, he has bags of skill, works hard and scores goals. His record for Czech rep is very good.
