If you sign a foriegn striker, from a poor league ie France, would he be able to cope with the Prem? Obviously its safer if he's uprooted trees in Europe and done well against English clubs (Drogba) or conversely more risky if he hasn't (Cisse). All this is very well as long as the price reflects the risk.

Stu seems to be having good fun digging up old threads to stick the boot in to his online 'adversaries' (to each his own, I say)...but in so doing, he's revived some interesting threads with some interesting comments...

To wit, I'd like to highlight the prescience of our friend Big Mick here.  Granted, Drogba ain't everyone's cup of tea but you have to acknowledge he's been effective in England (certainly much more so than Cisse).  Good shout Mick...any chance you'd be persuaded to offload the pub and take over Paco's scouting job for Rafa?

just for the record...stu has used racist and derogatory language on this forum.He served a short suspension of posting rights but was allowed back.He continued to post until his departure a few months back.I was on holiday when he left,so I am not sure if it was of his own free will or an enforced departure.
