Joe Cole is quality mate and I've been wanting Liverpol to sign him for seasons ..............Gallas though was streets ahead of any other defender today in terms of tiem and skill on the ball........

agreed ian. joe cole has more footballing ability in his little toe than frank lampard will ever have imo. he's just too much of an enigma at times to really cement a place in the england side.

I agree, Dalglish and Gallas is second choice behind Calvarho but I don't think he is available. He is very good with his timing as he is quicker than Terry. Then again, he only had to contend with a lighweight striker like Pongolle who was easily snuffed.

any chance chelsea will let go of a gallas ?

they prefer terry & Calvarho..... and Gallas has complained top the press that nobody in chelsea recgonises his talent

yeh it would be an amazing signing if we brought gallas to liverpool, but how much would it take to steal him away from chelsea

Maybe 7 million or so. They can't keep 16 top quality players happy at all times ..... should sell one or 2 of them to us.

if we did approach them, you know we couldnt go after both. I would say make an actual offer for gallas, but im not sure 7 million would be enough, maybe 8-10 million. I think it would be worth it though, for gallas. What do you guys think?

if you want quality you got to pay for it..but i am sure, any player we wanna sign from chelsea, they will surely want gerrard as a 1st option....

Judgin from our display against the russians, they only have one defender we need.....Cech (or whatever way he spells his name). Where the hell that one impulse save came from is anybodys guess. He's the main reason they've let so few goals in this season, at least imo. Let's face it, it'd take a good goalie to keep Cudicini out of a side.....maybe we could do a swap with Kirkland.....
