Champ league money - What's the deal?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Anyone on the board know the deal with the Champs League money?

As far as i'm aware each country has an allocated pot of money which is divided between the qulifying teams on account of their league position. This meant Chelsea getting the biggest slice of (the English) the pie followed by the arsse, mancs, bitters and then lfc with the smallest slice. Of course the bitters fell flat on their face so i'm assuming the club is now due to make more money (at least a couple of mill) from the groups than we first thought.

Haven't read or heard anything to confirm this though.

we can share it and buy some sweets to watch the game tonight, and some fizzy pop.   :D

but on a serious note, i think the pot is given as a country as ipposed to specific teams so i think you are right that there will still be the same ammount available, it will probably be sgared amongst the remaining 4 teams

Ah yes now i remember. When the desicion was made to allow liverpool to defend the Euro Cup i remember someone saying that becasue Liverpool came through the first round they would get less than Everton and Man Utd.
