Cheyrou was the one i couldn't see why he failed.

He had vision, technique, was a big lad and was generally good alround.

To me he looked a potentially top quality player miserabley lacking in confidence and support.

He's a central midfielder or even a drop off striker i would say and out of all the players who are out on loan, he's the only one i'd bring back to show if he's got what it takes. Maybe Diarra aswell as he's never had a chance.

I'd have Diouf back before Cheyrou. I know it's convenient to sweep his behaviour under the carpet, but the guy has been on fire. I can't help but look at our right hand side and think that we've missed a trick by not bringing him back - most of his best work for Bolton has been when he's moved out wide, and he's energetic enough to make a pass and be on the end of the cross a split second later.

I can understand why Rafa doesn't want to know, but when cash is tight and we have a player in form right there...I can't help but be a little frustrated. Not cuptied for CL either.

Ivor the thing is that Diouf is on fire because he's playing in his natural position. Can you see him honestly being played ahead of Baros,Morientes and Cisse[when fit]?

If Rafa saw something in Diouf that would bring something to our squad he wouldn't had send him on a loan.

Cheyrou to me is a versatile player who was burdened by unfair expectations (ie new Zidane). I could see where Houllier was coming from as Cheyrou has great skills and vision and the way he moves etc is reminiscent of Zidane, however as most would agree you really only get a handful of players like Zidane in a decade and the man's achivements are incomparable to most players playing in Europe atm.

For me, if bolton is thinking of signing diouf on a free, i rather he is brought back here. We could sell him to some turkish team for 5 million, i reckon. But i don't see any re-sale value for cheryou. He has not been playing that well in the french league has he ?

lets get diouf back he has been man of the match twice for bolton and scored for them

I don't think that is a good idea .... let sell him to them and get the money give to RB to get more players .

Bruno Cheyrou is a left winger, eh? I thought he was an attacking central midfielder. Oh well. I don't think we need Bruno back and if he's playing well in france hopefully he's attracting some interest from other clubs with some cash to spend. We've got Riise, Kewell, Warnock and Garcia who can all play on the left wing. We could still end up going for Vicente and I just don't see a place for Cheyrou at Liverpool. We might get as much as £2m for him and that could be enough to help sway a deal for a quality centre half or another postion which we need backed up or made stronger. Cheyrou had flashes of quality but never amounted to anything special and I don't think he'll come good now. For me it's bye bye Bruno and cheerio Cheyrou.

He's on the books, and he's not cuptied for the Champion's League. Morientes isn't available for the CL games, and Cisse and Pongolle are both out for the season.

That leaves us with Baros, Mellor and Le Tallec as our specialist strikers. Only a fool would play Mellor or TLT ahead of Diouf on current form.

the pair of them are not good enough, we`ve done the hard part finding someone soft enough to take them off our hands. i couldnt care less how well they are playing for other clubs i saw enough of them at anfield to know that they will not become top class title winning players in england. cheyrou never had the bottle for the english game and el hadj is too much of a loose cannon. lets move forward.

Obiviously Rafa doesn't see something in Diouf that we need. Otherwise he would had been called back along with ALT.

Let's not forget that Heskey was on fire before comming to us .
