Even if Baros was our main goalscorer at the end of the season Stu would critisize him, btw I don't have anything against you Stu.

First of all, there are no easy games in the premiership.

Secondly if you don't score against the scums, arsenal or chelsea and score against the other 16 teams, it makes you a backup striker ? ???

give me a break.

Well done baros today fantastic display and performance keep it up lad prove the doubters wrong. Put it this way id rather have him playing for LFC than be playing against our defence :;): enough said  :glare: He gave 110%procent today and anyone who says diffrent is f#kin blind and not just with his goal he was everywere and should have bagged at least 6.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

you get my point, could go on and on
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

Um, yeah it is 'only' Man City.  They're ******.  And Holland?  11 egos does not a team make  ???

He's done extremeley well for the Czech Republic and he scored a very good goal today, but like Stu said he'll never be one of the greats, he is a very good and very useful player to have.  And I'd rather see him playing for us then any one else (unless we got £100 million for him :D)

the original issue is not whether he'll be one of the greats.
its whether he's a top class striker now, and he is. his record is continually proving that.

dont get me wrong people, a 3-0 win is good in any ones books against any kind of opposition!!

but dont get too carried away, its the big games (like last monday for example) which are the ones u need to be on top form for!

Exactly, without disrespecting him because he is a good striker at the moment (not a top class striker as that term is thrown around all too loosely) but when was the last time in a high pressure situation, for LIVERPOOL not the Czech Republic, has he come up trumps and delivered the goods?

He's a striker. He either looks like he's going to score or he scores whenever he plays.......thats good enough for me. Yes he dribbles a lot and his awareness of his team-mates is lacking, but if he keeps scoring Im not bothered.......thats his job. Its too early to judge him in 'high pressure situations'.

Both our strikers scored today and that can only be good. Im reserving judgement until Christmas at least, any time before that is unfair.

It really doesn't matter against who Baros scored. Last season the lower teams were capable of taking points away from us but its a different season this year.

It was so predictable that this thread would get the one major baros critic to respond.Stu regularly sticks his foot in his mouth..his comments tonight only confirm he wasn't at the game.I'm not saying Milan Baros will turn out to be a world class striker but the lad deserves credit when its due, even if it sticks in the throat of the fans still mourning the demise of the "best forward they have ever seen"...the "galactico" Owen

Why allow a really good TEAM performance to become a debate on Baros ? ??? Ok , so he scored a goal as did Garcia and Cisse but if your wanting to make a case for class look no further than Alonso.
he was simply world class today and on a different level in terms of playing ability , time on the ball, distribution, tackling, reading the game etc.....and guess what ? he didn't score
:D
