A few questions...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

1. Is James Beattie better than Milan Baros?

2. Would he give us something different than we already have?

3. What would we get for Baros?

4. How much would Beattie cost?

5. Would we miss bringing Baros on to change games?

Interesting that after thinking about it.

Maybe we can start raising the funds to bring Owen back here, Owen, Cisse, Beattie and Garcia... looks impressive to me that... :D

I think Baros will get to Beatties level when he's a complete player but i don't think he'll improve much beyond that. Beattie also offers something different, i was never in favour of this but if we were to get Owen back, i think its an option i'd like to see.

Beattie is a different player to Baros. He's stronger and better in the air, and perhaps his positioning in the box to get chances is better.
Baros is quicker and likes to take players on and his finishing is very good.

They both bring different attributes to the table, and yes he would give us something we don't laready ahve that being aerial ability and strength up front, cos Cisse is not brilliant in the air.

Beattie would be no more than £10 million and we could probaly get around £8-9 for Baros.

I agree though if Owen came back he is similar to Baros, but Owen's game is more well rounded and if this did hapeen Beattie would be a good option.

Well Owen can't return until the end of the season anyway but lets say Barca come in for Baros and grant him his "dream" move ???  (his words not mine)

That would leave LFC with a few bob to buy and IMO should go for Gudjohnson over Beattie.
