they'll put gerrard top because he's a current player,

rush second because of his scoring record,

dalglish above fowler because of his success as player/manager (rare),

fowler up there in top 5 because he is god,

barnes will be number 5 although personally i'd put him number 1 coz he's my hero

What about Roger Hunt? Did he already appear? It's all c.rap really because today's players obviously get an unbalanced boost by being contemporaries. As a player, Souness might deserve to be in the top 5 too.

I only ever saw Hunt in his fading years but from what I saw he wasnt in the same class as Rush, but I saw Souness at his peak and believe me he was better than Gerrard. The only thing Souness lacked was pace. He was like Hamman and Gerrard rolled into one, with a bit of Ben Thatcher for good measure.

cannot argue with that, given the choice of these 5 players........although,,,in my top 5 souness(3) and ray(2) kennedy would feature with kenny at (1.)......positions 4 and 5 are difficult.....with Fowler,Gerrard,Barnes, crazy horse, ian callaghan, ian st john and keegan fighting out two places.

Agree there.

Crazyhorse was my own idol, so he would get in my top 5.

I'd go for

1 Dalglish
2 Gerrard
3 Rush
4 Fowler
5 Barnes

Personally, I don't think Fowler warrants a place in the top five, and how the hell did Carragher make number 7 ??
