R.I.P. 96

Just wanted to thank the Blackburn for making it as easy as possible to change the fixture date. Just shows how many people understand.

may peace be with you all

Keep our memory with you,
For memories never die;
all 96 of us will be there with you,
When you look across the sky.
we will be there in the clouds,
In the birds that fill the air;
In the beauty of a fragrant rose,
You will find our memory there.
You will feel us in the tenderness,
Of a tiny baby's touch;
You will hear us if you listen,
In the twilight's gentle hush.
When your hearts are heavy,
And you feel that you are alone;
Just reach down deep inside of you,
For your heart is now our home.
all 96 of us will be there with you,
we will never go away;
For we will live on in your hearts and memories,
Forever and a day.

Ciggy thanks for posting this.Have to admit i havent read it yet.Igot halfway through the poem from Anne and found it too upsetting today,although Iwill go back to the top and read the whole thread at a later date.

It is of great importance that the events of that terrible day are never forgotten.Its through forums like this that people can be made aware of what went on.

The fight for JUSTICE goes on.RIP THE 96 YNWA

From article off YNWA.

"Whatever you are doing on 15th April please stop and think for a minute of those who passed. Let everyone keep that day special and however you show your respect remember that you are not alone.

Hold your friends and family close to you on Saturday, think kindly of them and remember those who cannot do the same. Remember the 96."

Just think 17 years ago right at this moment, lives were being lost. From now on until 3:07 I will observe a silence.

Reading through all of this is unbelievable, what people went through, what people are still going through. The darkest day in the history of the club. They will never be forgotten.

I remember the day vaguely, watching it come through on Grandstand.
I remember watching the Pandmonium on telly people running on the pitch and reports filtering through, it wasnt until later I discovered the true event of this terrible disaster.

I did read the Evertonian lads story and it left a huge lump in my throat.

The events will never be forgotton and my thoughts go out to anyone that had family or friends involved in that appalling tragedy. :(

The people of Liverpool do there country proud.  :bowdown

It is absolutely heart-wrenching reading these accounts but so important to understand what truly happened 17 years ago today.  Thank you to everyone who has braved the pain and anguish to share your story.

It is the most meagre of gestures, but I dedicate this, my 96th post, to those who lost their lives at Hillsborough.

My thoughts are also with their family and friends this sad day.
