Surely, they are the worst run company, who offer the worst service ever.

For about the 8th time this year we have been cut off. We have lost the internet and the TV. Usually lasting 4 or 5 days before we get reconnected. And everytime its for no reason. We pay our bill in two payments, always on time. But this year especially they have seriously took the p!ss.

Here is the routine:

Our bill comes in.

We pay half when we come into money. (one time we got cut off before we even received our bill !)

We pay the second half.

We get cut off. (No late payments mind, for the hell of it, we are cut off)

We ring them up. Always some clueless indian guy, always fobbing us off with "you will be reconnected in the next 24 hours".

We ring them up again. Another excuse "he shouldnt have told you that its 48 hours !"

One time my missus rang them up and they took our phone number. They promised to call us back as they had mangement around inspecting and that they were busy ! Naturally my temperature rose on hearing this I was straight on the phone.

A while back they said with the money I was paying for the internet and phone they would send me a digital box and my bill would be cheaper. When that happened I got a good picture, less channels and no internet. That took 2 weeks to sort out. They sent me the digital box, deleted my records, and left me with sod all.

Recently I phoned up enquiring about the 50mb internet. I asked about the price, you know, how much extra it would cost. After finding out I told them I would run it by my missus and ring them back. Only I couldnt.

Yep. I was cut off 4 hours later. No TV, no internet, no phone. All cut off. Reason? "that shouldnt have happened", took 3 days to get everything back on.

Ive decided. The @ssholes have robbed me enough, im going to return the compliment.

Thanks for the heads up . Was a bit fed up with my providers (Sky for tv and BT for phone line) but after reading your problems with Virgin Media I think I'll stick where I am.

They used to fuc'k me about something rotten as well when I was out of work and was paying bills late as I just did not have the money to pay on time......Its frustrating mate,I know all about it!Then they hit you with extra charges for paying late as well
Since I got back to work though I have set up a direct debit and have had no problems atal.
Im not too sure which is cheaper out of the bunch,if you wanted to change.mine is £68 a month for phone, net,Sky Sports and ESPN(no movie channels though)...I think its quite dear.

Oh and heres something to try, know the way when you phone up they give you different options..I find that if you push the option to add something to your package(ie more money for them) you get through in no time atal, almost instantly,no queue required!
If you phone up and push the option that you are having problems with your services, you can sit and listen to silly fuc'kin music for hours...everytime!
Bast'ards..dont wanna know......Oh and speaking to someone on the other side of the world with broken English is sh'ite too! :D

I'm surprised, I've never had anything but good service from Sky.

Only recently I rung up on the off chance of nailing a special offer on the movie channels for Xmas (currently only got Sky Sports). They offered me free movies for 6 months and a £3 discount on my monthly bill. So now I get the full package for £37 a month.

Worth noting that when I ring them I always select the option that puts me through to the disconnections department. They have the power to authorise better deals than the standard sales team.

Back to the Virgin issue. You probably have a case for legal action, they clearly have not provided the service you have signed up for and hence are in violation of contract. I would at least look for a refund on the missed days of service.

My gripe with Sky was mainly how much it was costing me, but thats probably more my fault than theirs  :D .

I've been with BT  for some time and although the service is OK'ish they've pulled a few stunts that have got me a bit hacked off.

Apparently the most my phone line can handle is an 8mbps speed so I signed up for that and the unlimited amount of download option. The average speed I get is 3.5 mbps (I've never reached the advertised 8mbps) .I've also had an e:mail from BT advising me that for the next 30 days they were reducing my speed to 1mbps as last month my downloads exceeded 100Gb which exceeds their "fair usuage policy", a policy that conveniently was not mentioned when I signed up for the unlimited downloads option.
