Think the french who are the "hosts" for the world cup vetoed any games being played in England.

They didn't have enough stadiums to hold all the games so they allowed some to be staged in Wales and Scotland but refused Englands offer , surprise surprise.

Here's hoping Romania do well....that they get huge support over there in France, especially from all those beggars - who hopefully will travel from Dublin on the underside of trucks, or whatever way they usually get from country to country - and stop selling The Big Issues outside Tesco, or at traffic lights

i suppose the irish will be praying for an argentinian victory but i just can't see it. france have got too much class.

I am the exact opposite and don't want a northern hemisphere team winning. Added to that i HATE NZ and SOUTH AFRICA so want the aussies to win. i am a massive rugby nut and am playing a big semi tomorrow. I disagree with a few on here who say the southern h teams are dirty. South africans are the worse but oz and nz play hard tough rugby. The reason england won't win is because this time 4 years ago they had a huge amount of momentum. They drew with NZ in NZ which is the closest they have come to losing there in about 6 yrs. The players were all at there peak 4 yrs ago and a majority of them now have retired or are playing with walking sticks. I think its going to be a cracking world cup and can't gopast those chokers NZ but watch out for oz and france.

The All Blacks spanked the Wallabies and the Springboks in the tri-nation/bledisloe cups this year.

Provide they don't collapse mentally (like always... ),
They have by far, the most gifted squad in the World Cup this year. Austalia is the only team ever to turn their backs on the Haka and they got smashed into the ground and lost by 40 points. Noone else ever made the same mistake again...

Theres plenty of Maori blood in every All black team to make it still very pertinent and relevant....

My pick?.... The All Blacks in a walk...

I watched the first half of New Zealand vs Italy

kin hell! new zealand are very impressive they ripped italy apart.

final score 76-14 for new zealand!

The Japs had a good first half. Tackled like demons. I am still not as happy as i could be despite the huge win.... just not fluid enough yet.

Well-in to the southern hemisphere boys.

Can't wait for these group games to be over, bloody waste of time.
