  , I guess we were all drinking the same as those Gollum like figures sheltering under the cliff.

One point to St Mick , Dogs Nose is Beer and Gin

Half a point to Taff, his mate Steve probably did say "I'm going to go on a bender" but sadly he's not the source of the expression.  :D

Point for Wooly , bit worrying how easily he recognised the Harp slogan,
( always thought he was a bit more hardcore, Tenants super and Kestrel  .)

hardcore? you're talking to the man who has a 3 year old box of red wine in the shed which i refuse to throw away just in case i ever need it "in an emergency" :D  i also found out at the age of 12 that chewbacca's gun from my star wars figures opened the lock to my dad's booze cabinet. now THAT's hardcore :buttrock

I'm gettin' misty eyed here, the thought of Lil' Wooly combining a bit of thievery and early stages of alcoholism with the cast of star wars , bless his little nimble fingers
:)

we've still got threee booze quiz questions to answer

1,A Polish Bison is a mixture of Vodka and what else ?

2,Grog is a mixture of Rum and what else ?

3,Where does the expression "to go on a bender " come from ?

1.honey

2. usually water

3. Comes from the 19th century sense of the word 'bender', which was used for anything great or spectacular.

One point for Judge , grog is a mixture of rum and water.

There is a brand of Polish vodka called Zubrowka , it has a Bison on the label and there is a long piece of "grass/herb" inside the bottle.
It isn't however the drink referred to as "A polish bison"

No

here's a clue , the expression is a reference to the act of drinking.
