Anyone use Outlook Exppress for ther Email accounts. My server is AOL cant configure it its a pain in the @rse.

I do.

You should have the following data

the POP3 server address

the SMTP server address (might be the same one)

An username, and a password.

Cookbook:

Once in OE express, select Tools (I'm translating-guessing) from the Menu Bar, and "Accounts" within that menu.

You should see a list of the available ones, and if it's a new one, you have to create it.

First you will be asked for a name, that will be the name that will appear in the inbox when someone receives your mail, absolutelly optional, put whatever you want

Second you have to write the new e-mail address

THen you will be asked for the SMTP and POP3 addresses mentioned

And that should be it. If you have doubts I'll show you my helpful face.  :;):

Then edit the account properties, which you have created.

And click a checkbox that should be something like

"This server requires authentification"

That is the most typical problem.

If that doesn't work, please tell me the exact error number.

Great thread!
Got a problem. Could anyone explain to me what "credit" means in this sentence? Could be some technical terms.

I haven't used it but,

Apparently google map uses the standard PNG image format.

So you'd have 2 options, follow the instructions of that link to edit the configuration with a text editor as explained there in the image format section.

OR, use a picture manager to load the PNG file and save it as JPG, for instance. Microsoft Office, if you have installed, has a picture manager that it's quite easy to use. You can find easily freeware software to do the conversion aswell.

:(

hope this is an easy way here, mate:

method 1

1. use button "prt scr" ("print screen) altogether with "fn" ("function") button
(some PCs don't have "fn" button, in case of such, use "alt" button instead)

this will copy whatever displayed on your monitor

2. open any graphic editor, an easy one is the default microsoft paint. open file >> new to allow a new canvas

3. edit >> paste there
4. crop unwanted areas of the pic
5. save as any format you want

method 2

this will require adobe acrobat professional
- print this page (using the "print" feature available) to adobe printer
- save as jpg

woof, no need for that.
Use a fine image hosting service like http://xs.to/.
You can upload png's there without any fuss.

Let's see if I can help somehow.

1st let's check this

Code: Select all

Copy that text, paste it in a new post, and let's see if the emoticon appear. (I wager it will)

If it appears, It's probably due to some sort of problem with your browser, not the forum itself. In this case, tell me what browser you're using (Explorer, Mozilla, Opera).

Reinstalling the browser, should solve the problem, or trying out another browser. But first things first, try out that and answer me  what browser you have!
