Dundalk those green lines appear when you try to play it in a computer, or a device for playing DVDs?

When trying to copy original DVDs that might be a case of protection as red @ heart says.

In your case, I think it's a matter of codecs.

Download this player, it's free, and tell me if you can see the green stuff with it.

You might forget about codecs after giving a shot to that player ;)

Ah well. Sorry of not being much of help, I always found too painstaking the long converting processes and I bought a divx player.

It seems to me that the best you can do is changing the software of conversion, but perhaps another mate will help you better.

was it a film you dloaded if so was it torrent or from a p2p site like kazaa etc if from a p2p site it could well be a fake and not what you wanted, or another senario it could be NTSC and not PAL, as in the UK we use PAL,

try converting again and use "DVD shrink" it will say then the file your using is NTSC and will ask you if you want to change to PAL, these could be other problems as to why your having probs with green.

I'd vote for it Dward, let's see what the other mods think about it.

The help thread could be used for any kind of query, from computer ones, to how to clean chocolate stains :)

Yeah I just thought it would be easier having one thread instead of people starting a new topic every time they needed help.

It doesn't seem you can do much about it. You're trying to access a site that works with a database and you're unable to connect to it. Most natural reasons for this are site maintenance, or temporal failure of that site.

Sometimes however, the temporary files of your browser can mess with this kind of sites, so try to remove them just in case.

Thanks , I've had occasional problems with this site before (it's a torrent site),but I usually get a "site under maintenance " type of message as opposed to this recent one and was wondering if the problem could be at my end .

I'll check out my temp files.
