i can see where the abortion question comes from. its a basic question about whether we see human beings as lumps of meat or as a 'sacred' being that shouldn't be violated and to be honest its a moral labyrinth. from my own point of view i don't see the connection between that and the use of living but unfortunate people as sources of organs for the privileged (and lets be honest, that was the original proposal).
i really don't want to get into an abortion argumnet as i'm sure it could get especially nasty, even by this forum's recent standards. my basic take on it, though, is that it should be perfectly legal as long as the maximum age of the foetus is 10 to 12 weeks. i have been unlucky enough to have to support 2 women through abortions and it is not a pleasant time for anyone. i've also had the joy of seeing the blob that was to become my son for the first time. i think i know both sides of the story reasonably well. i also think that my moral, ethical and logical reasoning is as fallible as just about anybody else's.
