Was in Amsterdam a few years back. It's interesting how it's split between a modern CBD and the old city, which is where I found to be the busiest part just getting off at the grand central train station. I'd never been in a more crowded place in my life, whereas the modern area was like a ghost town near the Arena. The old area where the Grasshopper is, is a really class place. I just found the crowd intimidating.

haha...yea the old houses are more in town...so its also easy to see for the tourists.
The place around the arena is (if u ask me) a bit scary. dunno why.
I like "de Meer" . houses are really nice. And all the street names haves something to do with football.

I thought it was just me because it was strange for me being a foreigner when I was around there. It just seemed really surreal and too quiet around that part. I also noticed a lot of big apartment buildings across the tracks.

Just because cannabis is legal in Amsterdam, it doesn't mean it's suddenly good for you.

The best 'coffeshop' in Amsterdam without a doubt is 'lost in Amsterdam'.
