yeah your authorities are a joke really. a bigger joke then i thought they were. i've never seen so many laws being broken in a single day while the authorities just passively sit back. if these young looters are willing to do what they do, while the police are unwilling to fight fire with fire, the innocents are stuck in the middle with much to lose.

they aren't just sitting back. London is f*cking massive and the police have to all stay together. If 4 or 5 run after a few yobs, turn a corner and there are 100 of them ready to batter them. The police are out numbered, unarmed and basically screwed.

The rioters are coaxing the police, trying to seperate them so they can hurt/kill them.

they will not win in court. even if any of the rioters' rights were breached, it was directly due to their own breaching of someone else's rights in the first place. they can sue but they will only be wasting their own money and the crown's time. nobody can profit from a crime they committed. but yeah, it's all soft these days.
