Good luck containing this now. The way this is spreading is startling. I can tell you from personal experience, that being a youngster and seeing something like this in front of you, it's hard to just stand by and watch. All it takes is one of your mates to jump in and then you do, and so on and so on. It's like an infection that keeps spreading and takes on a knock-on effect. Kids are doing this for the buzz. I admit to getting involved in a riot a long time ago, but from what I see here, there is absolutely no excuses for the destruction these people are doing. Attacking buildings, flats, shops et is a disgrace. If the agenda is supposed to be about what the cops did to that fella, then you take your anger out on them and not your own community. Brainless stuff.

take it from my personal experience as well, (never been in a riot, but seen loads on my street) this won't stop and will escalate if nothing is done about it. The only solution to this problem is deploying the army and contain the rioters in one place then arrest the f*ckers

From my experience, they just tend to die off eventually. People get tired, have to eat, all that sort of stuff. The thing is, these aren't really riots directed towards the cops like the one I was involved with. It lasted the entire night and I remember people actually running out of rocks and stuff to throw. This is different to that kind of scenario. These are kids getting word over these social network bollox sites and they are just going about in gangs to take advantage of the mayhem and to just cause damage and loot. That is all there is to it. For riots to be sustained, it takes a group of people to actually plan and orchestrate it. The problem now, that these days the social networks are doing that. Once that gets out of control, well, you can see the results. It's spreading like a virus. The solution to it all is to cut the organisation out. Shut these social media sites down.

The problem is that the kids know they will get away with it. When it comes to the law and dealing with kids, our kids know, we cant touch them legally. Stick them in a detention center at worst.

I don't think that's what it is at all.  I think if you get caught over there, you're doing at least 6 months, more if you're caught burning a building. From what I've watched, it looks like your cops there either don't have any balls, or just can't do anything about what's in front of them. I see gangs of kids here on TV at the front line of cops pushing and throwing stuff at them. There is not a chance in hell that would happen here in Belfast. You get close to a line of riot cops here, you get batted on the dome a few times and dragged into the back of a jeep. That, or you take a plastic round in the arse.

Yep, don't know what they're waiting for? They need to get the army stationed al over the city as quickly as possible, they need water cannons and they need to be able to carry some threat before the thieving little bas..ta.rds destroy the whole city.
