There is no way in hell, I'd let the most powerful man on earth into office with any sort of Muslim faith or following.  :suspect:

What Muslim faith or following would that be, though, mate?  He's Christian and I've not heard a thing about any Muslim following.

Anyhoo, it looks like he's a shoe-in now and that's a very good thing, IMHO.

Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (black muslim) of Nyangoma-Kogelo, Siaya District, Kenya, and Ann Dunham of Wichita, Kansas. (white atheist ).

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced and his father returned to Kenya. His mother married Lolo Soetoro -- a Muslim -- moving to Jakarta with Obama when he was six years old. Within six months he had learned to speak the Indonesian language. Obama spent "two years in a Muslim school, then two more in a Catholic school" in Jakarta. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim while admitting that he was once a Muslim, mitigating that damning information by saying that, for two years, he also attended a Catholic school.

Obama's father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was a radical Muslim who migrated from Kenya to Jakarta, Indonesia. He met Obama's mother, Ann Dunham-a white atheist from Wichita, Kansas-at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Obama, Sr. and Dunham divorced when Barack, Jr. was two.

Obama's spinmeisters are now attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came from his father and that influence was temporary at best.

In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya immediately following the divorce and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Dunham married another Muslim, Lolo Soetoro who educated his stepson as a good Muslim by enrolling him in one of Jakarta's Wahabbi schools. Wahabbism is the radical teaching that created the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad on the industrialized world.

Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when you are seeking political office in the United States, Obama joined the United Church of Christ to help purge any notion that he is still a Muslim.

Be careful what you wish for.  :suspect:

McCain is such a joke.  Why did he choose Palin as his vice presidential nominee?  It's like he wanted to loose.  This was just a one big :censored: joke!

Please as if that is the reason for this defeat. It doesnt matter who he picked or who ran for that matter. The republicans were doomed to this result the day the democrats gained a majority in house of representatives. McCain hasn't got a clue himself. He was made to look like such a clueless :censored: when he got it wrong on Lehman Bros. He was trying to base his campaign on national security when he should have been focused on the economy which is foremost in peoples thoughts.

338 - 115 though thats a landslide hehe

I hear they will be widening that by some 30 or so seats and they have also increased their majority in the senate too. Never underestimate the power of democracy!!!!

I'm so glad Obama won. Maybe now he can transform America into what it once was and not what it has become - a figure of hate.

Well I meant that McCain's campaign was just a joke and it was never meant to succeed.   But I just can't understand how people like you think that everything is going to be alright now.  I'm not Republican supporter, but if you think that the US is going to change it's ways now, then you're going to be really disappointed.

Obama's speech that he made after winning he presidency was one of the best speeches I have ever heard. In fact, I think it may just be the best I have heard.

Discuss.

Yeah well the Yanks arent the brightest of sparks.

But anyway a large part of me believes he won because of his skin colour. it was just as much a battle between Ebony and Ivory than it was policies.

One of the big mistakes McCain made was not agreeing a new GI bill which would have seen pay rises/better benefits ect....with his military background he could have used that to his advantage but the tuekey neck old :censored: didnt. Anyway it's a good day for Americans. Free donughts at Krispy Kreme!!!!! :D
