IMO, mccain'll carry more states than expected.  Never underestimate the conservatism of certain parts of the US.  However, it'll be a close popular vote and a big electoral college victory for obama I think. And by the current exit polls, looks like nothing shocking is happening.  Obama carrying the NE, and Mccain the South.

as for me personally, I voted obama in a heavily republican state, my vote is worthless.

The bookies have stopped taking bets and some Republican supporters have already as good as conceded defeat.

crazier things than a mccain victory have happened, and the exit polls aren't official.  It's going to be late before everyone gives official results, the lines were awful, and there were reports of machines not working earlier today.

hell, we may have a "dewey defeats truman" moment :)
