He had to let him go, would have meant a sending off otherwise. Good save by Green though, his confidence will have been boosted with that.

Overall it was a decent performance. But towards the end we were just hoofing the ball upfield to Crouch.

Very poor performance from England tonight, only the first game but the played long ball the whole game and looked very very nervous

Was it :censored:. That Green blunder dented their confidence but they looked solid overall. Heskey fluffed a good chance but he was always going to do that. We should have taken that chance really.

They were playing at altitude too, it's not easy. Even Argentina earlier were giving silly balls away towards the end of the game.

Anyway will be good to see how we line up against Algeria with Barry back.

All in all it was an ok result. Algeria should be a piece of :censored:.

imo England lack ideas and a natural goal poacher, Defoed should have started instead of emule
