Chile can't rest players because we could still be out of the cup if we lose and Switzerland wins. Chile is going to put up a fight but i don't know if it'll be enough. Spain has quality players and we lost our main defensive midfielder for the game. On the other hand, I have infinite faith in what Valdivia can do from the start.

Its going to be tough, and I'll be sleepless for the rest of the week

I'm sorry it has to be Chile or Spain because I think both squads are better than Switzerland.

Chile are tough and a draw against them is not science fiction and it would mean we're out. Spain has to face that game as if it was a knock out round already... but without being able to go to the extra time.

Chile might be tempted to do a defensive game and try to counter, and if they do it well they can win, because Spain hasn't shown that they're on a scoring mood. If they were they would have scored 6 today.

I don't know, but I don't like this.

I did, I joined the forums to check what was being said about Mark. Im chilean and I try to follow how the chilean players are doing abroad, since the news tend to be a bit misleading I like to read what the fans have to say. That being said, I've had admiration for liverpool since that epic champions league final comeback took place, and I've been following them since then I'll probably continue to do so now that there's another chilean involved in the team.

Mati Fernandez is a great player that hasn't been able to show all he's got in the teams he's been since he left Colo Colo (where he was chosen best player in America). Oddly enough, Chile performs much better in my opinion with Valdivia taking his place but Mati is Bielsa's favorite as he has clearly said. Valdivia is not very well known but is easily the most talented player we have right behind Alexis Sanchez, who would be a world class player if he managed to score every now and then.

Im going to be devastated if we don't make it past the first round and the swiss do.

I hope Chile make the last 16 cos they play with No fear and have an exciting young side prepared to try something different. Most of the South American teams have done well this World Cup and it would be a travesty if Switzerland make it at Chile's expense cos their dull as ditchwater !

It beggars belief that every 2 years we get taken in by an over exuberant media who convince lots of people to buy a Flag and wave them for a fortnight in the vain hope that England might win something !

Some of the players are taking the that's for sure but isn't that the same at club level ? Terry a model professional for Chelsea ? Do me a favour !  Ashley Cole a paragon of virtue ? Rio ? And don't even go there with that media sl.ut David Beckham !

I haven't been impressed with Spain, it seems they are suffering from stage fright? Maybe it's those pesky vuvuzelas that are putting them off?
