Below is a list of the nominees for footballs top award,cant believe Stevie is the only Liverpool player listed,especially when you consider we won the European cup.Players like Sol Campbell,paul scholes,Joe cole etc.......NO CARRA...? ??????

Those lists are a joke, it's not about players it's just about glamourous teams,e.g Andy johnson was miles better than Donkey Drogba last season yet doesn't get a mention because he plays for palace. No Forlan either, was he not top scorer in Europe last season? That list doesn't represent football at all.

I know, its a joke the Awards are taking place tonight by Fifa in London,they are on tv tomorrow night at 8pm

It's Pathetic, Rio Ferdinand is quality but hardly even played last season and what the funk did paul scholes do? Looks like they had to fill their Manc quota i'm surprised Louis "glass ankles" Saha isn't on the list.

I for one wont be watching the show on TV as they were obviously put together by a bunch of tw.ats that know nothing about football!!!
It was between Carra and Terry who was the best defender last year!Even people  that dont support us could see that if they had a brain! ???

Its not based on last season.

but i agree, one LFC player? at least Alonso should be in that, if Gatusso is.

Legend award.......Mr floppy himself..................................Pele .        care home
Young player of the year voted by supporters worldwide ......Ronaldo     Manure

and Chelski get Lampard,Terry, and Makelele  in the worlds best eleven........Stevie not even a sniff.

Well saves me watching it tomorrow now

He was one fo the best defenders in europe and the league last season and alonso should be up there with gerrard

considering we won the European cup i cant believe we had only one nominee.They must put the league as more important than The European cup because the European cup is run by UEFA and not FIFA

Can't believe Beckham, Figo and Scholes got on that list, all past their best and were well below par last season.

And Joe Cole??  Give me a break

Carragher didn't get on it because he hasn't had that much action on the international scene.  But imo he should be there for club form alone, superb last year.

But Rooney can act like a total disgrace on the pitch and still gets awards?  Hit him where it hurts and don't include him in these shortlists until he sorts out his behaviour
