Now im as gutted as anyone about the result but we lost fair and square in my opinion. Ok we could have had the run of the green with the hyypia penalty but the lads just didnt do enough to show they wanted it.

The hunger was there with the chelsea players, they wanted it more, never thought id say that. They just looked up for it, even in extra time they had that extra yard of pace, and although im already regretting raising this topic, did deserve there victory.

Avram Grant took over from maureen, got no respect from anyone, not even his clubs "supporters" but has quietly got on with things. His first season and he is in a position of getting a magnificent double.

Frank Lampard. Cant stand the guy but as lakes mentioned earlier about him banging in that penalty with his dad looking on you could see how much it meant and how much pain he is in with the loss of his mum.

We lost fair and square. Yes we had a penalty that wasnt given but they also scored a goal that wasnt given.

Well done chelsea. Now go on and beat the scum on both accounts league and final !

i second your opinion,

we've had decisions go our way in the past but today we had the heart but just not the quality. look at the substitutuion they made and the ones we made.....

we need to strengthen......hopefully now hicks and gillett will sell.....they wanted to wait till the Cup run was over so they could maximise their profits!

Abramovich paid a fortune to build a side to play the final in his home city.

I struggle to relate to that and how it fits in with a working class man's game and fortunes of his local club.

Chelsea arent a club, they're not a team, they are an assembled group of players. Do working class Londoners relate to that, hand on heart? My @rse.

I will congratulate them because they've shown such great fighting spirit in extra time and their players actually played without diving.

Between the devils and the deep blue, if the mancs win they will be unbearable - especially if it is a league and European Cup double. And the history buyers will want a European Cup so they can talk about being a big club, some considering that the minimum requirement. Never mind most of Chelsea's history followed the arrival of Rouble Abramovich, that his money has returned a relatively poor offering all things considered.

They won it on the night, fair and square. I guess I will be willing them to win in Moscow, they will have the stigma of having bought their success even though the mancs have also bought a lot of their's. Rather the team with three league titles and no European Cups won it, the mancs are already closer than they deserve to be.

I don't detest Chelsea so I do want them to beat the Manc because I find Manure to be obnoxious.

Plus, I feel Chelsea have treated Ranieri, Mourinho and now Grant with disrespect, so if Grant wins a European Cup it will at least make it more difficult for the Russian oil gangster to sack him.
