I said 'no' as i can't see us affording him and a good winger- but if we came into some money he'd be a great addition to our squad.

Our strikers are too pretty now..

Hope we do sign him though and p-iss Man Utd off for stalling too much over his transfer.

I don't think we'll be able to afford him, be sides our apparent interest in him is coming from Jorabchin and although Rafa would no doubt love to sign him just to piss old whisky features off, I doubt he will.

Taking the economic element out of the picture for a minute, I just can't see where he'd fit in. He's not really suited to leading the line like Torres. The Torres/Gerrard pairing is phenomenal (when they're fit) so you wouldn't want to play him in the Gerrard role and he clearly doesn't like bench warming. When you take all of that into account I just can't see where we would use him and keep him happy.
