I think we'll get Inter ,
Apparently the first leg (whoever we get) will be at Anfield and  Stevie will be suspended for that game .

We could play against Leverkusen or Juventus or Lyon or AC Milan or Inter Milan.

Avoid Juventus and AC Milan.

Like to see Liverpool play against Lyon or Bayer Leverkusen but not sure about Inter Milan, cos Inter Milan got Adriano, who is really well this season so far.

But we can do it, why not to beat them? Of course we can!!

Imo Real and Juventus are teams we should hope to avoid. I would consider Leverkusen or Lyon as a good draw.

Liverpool v Lyon and Real v Manure would be perfect

LFC #1 wrote:well we can only play agianst a team who finsihed top of thier group (except Monaco) as we were 2nd in our group.

so there are 7 possibilities:

Arsenal
Chelsea
Bayer Leverkusen
Juventus
Lyon
Inter
AC Milan

I have gone for Leverkusen, as it would be nice to get some revenge on them for 2002, or Lyon - one of them would be the best draw, even Arsenal wouldn't be so bad.

We cannot play against an English club from my understanding. So that leaves Lyon, Leverkuson and the Italian teams. I want Lyon.

Liverpool won't be playing against Real Madrid because Real Madrid came 2nd in their group.

Italian giants AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus could all be paired with the Reds, as could French champions Lyon and German outfit Bayer Leverkusen

These are 5 options as our next opponent  as quoted from LFC TV site

I prefer Lyon

I want Inter, think they've only averaged a goal a game in their six CL games.

I know it would be an 'easier' tie against Bayern or Lyon but I'd like to play one of the 'bigger' clubs as I think it will show the strength of the squad ???

If we are going to win it we will have to beat the stronger teams sooner or later. The key is strengthening the squad in January with players who are not going to be cup - tied.

Yes, we need more reinforcements. But with mellor & ponggole shining, maybe we  should strengthen other aspect of the team (centreback & right winger).

Centre back and Right winger would be good, but we do need a forward; even if it is just a loaner for the rest of the season.
