A really difficult choice here folks, as all are very talented, pity they do not wear the red of the pool but nevermind, please state why you elected to choose who you do!

P.S I chose Messi, what i have seen of him the young lad could be the next big thing, just 17/18 getting into the barcelona team which has got amazing players, but not only that getting into the Argentina team!!! which consists of veron, lopez, kily gonzales, juan sorin, d'allesandro aimar etc, quite outstanding!!

Good poll. All excellent players.

Haven't seen enough of Messi to make a true judgement on him, but from the little I  have seen he really does look brilliant. Some are saying he'll be the next Maradona, but that's pretty big shoes to fill.

Adu and Robinho are overated for my liking. Robinho hasn't exactly set the world on fire at Madrid. The best Brazilan striker for years to come is going to be Adriano.

I'll go with Rooney, cos he's the player I've seen most of (well him and Ronaldo). He's one of the finest talents I've ever seen, and at such a young age he could be an absolute legend. However his attitude needs work, and if he deosn't sort it out he could become the next Paul Gascoigne.

Rooney is the most complete player of this bunch at the moment I hate to say.  Messi and a couple of the others could eventually turn out to be better than him though.  He is more physically developed than the others right now which gives him the edge I feel.

Interesting to hear Messi be compared with Maradonna already.  Hopefully the pressure of being dubbed 'the next maradonna' won't hinder his development like it arguably did with Ortega and even Aimar to an extent.  Bottom line is there will never be a 'next maradonna'

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.        BILL SHANKLY

How old is Kaka?  He's exceptional.  Tore us apart in the Final in the first half.

I wouldn't exactly call kaka a youngester, that means you gotta include the likes of, gilardino, alonso, adriano, ibrahimovich etc. These players are not youngsters.
